Commercial coal mining for private sector most ambitious reform since nationalization of coal mining
The latest approval for opening up of commercial coal mining for private sector is seen as the most ambitious coal sector reform since the nationalism of this sector in 1973. It is also seen as boosting the national economy with large scale generation of employment and operational efficiency for corporates.

It should be noted the Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the methodology for auction of coal mines and blocks for sale of coal under the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Act, 2015 and the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957. New Delhi: Consumers are discontent with the over-addition of GST on discounted products on popular e-commerce sites and retail stores, revealed a poll. The consumers have also urged the government to act against this "unfair" practice. Local Circles, a social engagement platform, said the sellers are charging Goods and Services (GST) tax on discounted MRP, thus it does not actually translate into the actual discount promised by them to the buyers.
